Challenges Encountered

The major challenge encountered during the tournament was stigma and discrimination from the participants who come to watch the game where by some of them kept on calling our members names like she-male, how boys cannot play girls sports etc. COVID -19 and curfew time, we used less time so that members living from far distant places could beat curfew as well as following the presidential directives. We reduced the number of players from 40 to 26 and limited invites to avoid overcrowding as well as not being arrested by police for undermining the presidential directives of not more than 10 people in an area.

The security personnel over charged us due to the current situation in the country. Transport cost was high due to COVID-19 measures of the ministry of health as well as presidential directives where public cars are not allowed to carry more than 4 or 8 people.
