Is a registered youth-led LGBT organization founded in 2017 to advocate for the rights and freedoms of sexual minority groups in Uganda through sport, art and economic empowerment
Position Overview:
We are seeking for a Programs manager with a strong background in program development and management. The ideal candidate should possess robust written and verbal communication skills, resilience and adaptability to remote work operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing and evaluating programs aimed at advocating for human rights through sport, art and economic empowerment.
- Mobilizing resources and fundraising to support program initiatives.
- Building and nurturing partnerships with key stakeholders in the human rights setting.
- Conducting data analysis and utilizing reporting software to track program impact and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in fields like Human rights, Social works or Humanities from a reputable university.
- Proven experience in program development and management, preferably in the context of human rights advocacy.
- Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for program management and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting software.
- Commitment to the mission and values of VEHRA.
