TASO is supporting several SRs to implement HIV/TB and malaria grants under the Global fund. One activity that cuts across both grants is participating in a capacity building program by the selected CBOs. This involves a 10 days training as one of the activities supported by the Global Fund and implemented by TASO and her sub recipients. This capacity building program involves a lot of stages, including organizational capacity Assessment, classroom training, placement for mentorship and practical sessions of writing concept notes, budgeting and implementing the budget to solve an identified problem. This whole process is expected to last for one year.
As part of the process to successfully implement the above activity, Visual Echoes for Human Rights Advocacy (VEHRA) is among the SRs that were identified in Kampala region to implement an intervention in the area of intervention identified. Following the identification and selection of VEHRA, TASO successfully conducted a two weeks capacity building training for the organizational representatives in the field of programs, finance, monitoring and evaluation. The trained representatives were then awarded with certificates of completion of the training at the end of the training at TACHS Kanyanya.
